Onondaga County Unit “Contract Blast”: Tentative agreement reached in mediation (9/4/2008)
In early 2007, CSEA's Negotiating Team began the process of
negotiating our next contract, working with our union staff
professionals to ensure that we were prepared for the work
ahead. Our goals were clear:

Increase communications with and involvement from our members
-
Make the process as open and transparent as possible
-
Work hard to gain the best contract we could for all our members throughout the County.
We began actual negotiations in July 2007, but partially
due to a turnover in County leadership, our negotiations
process has been delayed by the County's continued
foot-dragging.
Our union continues to forge ahead to negotiate a fair and
more timely contract. What remains constant is our promise to
keep you informed throughout, to work on building our
unity, and to fight to gain the best contract we can.
We will use this area of the Local website to post
"blast" updates and to ask for your
